SWEET MANDARIN INDIAN CURRY SAUCE (MILD)
Our grandmother, Lily Kwok came to the UK in the 1950s. The ship took 35 days to sail from Hong Kong to Liverpool, taking in Singapore, Penang, Ceylon, Bombay, the Suez Canal, Gibralter and Southampton along the way. It was on this journey that Lily perfected her curry recipes, which wooed the local community in Manchester on her arrival. Whilst passing through Bombay she perfected the spice blend and through that created her own Indian curry. This is comfort food in a bowl.

Each sauce is made with love and can be used on a variety of meats, vegetables, noodles, rice and salads for all meal occasions.
1 x Sweet Mandarin Indian Curry Sauce
1 x Chicken breast sliced
1 x carrot cut into rounds
1 x small onion diced into cubes
- In a large wok, stir fry the chicken pieces till cooked. Set aside
- In the same pan add in the onions and carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add in the Curry Sauce
- Stir for 5-8 minutes till piping hot
- Serve the Sweet Mandarin’s Long grain rice and goes great with a glass of Gewurtraminer.
An alternative for a Meat Free Meal would be aubergine / eggplant with carrots, peas and some tofu.
